Gibco Actinomycin D

Actinomycin D is a nonfluorescent DNA intercalator that exhibits high GC selectivity and causes distortion at its binding site. Binding of the nonfluorescent actinomycin D to nucleic acids changes the absorbance of the dye.

Actinomycin D has been used for chromosome banding studies.
